Last year was Jason's first year in triathlon, coming from a long background of road riding. For 2011 Jason is looking to improve his running which was his weakest sport. After a successful first half ironman in Miami, Jason will be racing twice at the half ironman distance in 2011 at Providence and Timberman. In addition to many sprint events, Jason plans on racing two olympic distance events at Rev3 Quassy and Esprit Montreal. Jason's target races for the year are Providence in July and Esprit Montreal in September.
Rico
Rico completed his first Olympic distance tri in 2005. Between 2007-2008 he completed another four Olympic triathlons but was still not yet a student of the sport. He trained with no plan and no structure and no thought to nutrition. 2009 was his breakout year and Rico took a more structured and focused approach on his training and nutrition. Rico went on to complete his first Half Ironman race in California, two Olympic distance races and on Nov 7, 2009 finished the Full Ironman in Panama City, FL.
Marc
Marc did his first tri in 2009, as a way to force himself to get back in shape and finally learn how to swim. This year he is focusing on improving his endurance, and getting faster in the swim and run. Marc is a tugboat in the water and a turtle in the run. Marc is also planning on getting his old cycling legs back this year. Marc's major goal for the year: completing the Miami 70.3 with Rico, Jason and the rest of the guys.
